SHS to Recognize Former Champs Friday Night / State Tennis Opens Tomorrow / Big 1-A Football Match up Coming up Friday Night for Big Horn

SHS ATHLETICS / ACTIVITIES - Friday night at the Sheridan Bronc football game the school will be honoring the 2009 Bronc state football championship team it was Don Julian's third year as Head coach and the Broncs beat Cheyenne Central for the state title.

Julian says they try and do these special events during home football games to recognize teams and students fore their achievements.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Broncs host Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the First Federal pregame show starts at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00

The Big Horn Rams play at Upton / Sundance in a battle of the number one ranked Rams and the number two Patriots both teams are 3-0 we will have the game live on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.

The Tongue River Eagles are on the road at Pine Bluffs Friday night and the NSI Wolves play at Guernsey Friday afternoon.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs dropped a wild 37-30 game at Thunder Basin Friday Head coach Jeff Mowry says it was a heck of game and they just came up short.

And it will be nice to be at home for two straight games.

They host Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night at 7:00 and the following week Cheyenne South comes to town.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles were shutout at home 38-0 against Upton / Sundance.

SHERIDAN HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks hockey team opened their regular season with two blow out wins in Butte, Montana Head coach Andy Schieb said the Hawks had a pretty good opening weekend.

And he says defense will be their focus going into action this weekend.
