Troopers Advance at State Baseball / Rockies at Nats Tonight / Fall Sports Time Line

"AA" STATE AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers held off a late charge by Evanston to advance in the state American Legion baseball tournament.

The Troopers built a 14-7 lead going into the bottom of the 8th inning but Evanston would score 6 times to make it close as the Troops held on for the 14-13 win to eliminate the Outlaws in the other elimination game Casper beat Rock Springs 10-7

The Troopers will play Laramie this afternoon at 4:30 in another elimination game with Casper playing Jackson.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their opener at the Wyoming state "AA" American Legion baseball tournament it was a disaster for the Troops as they fall to the Jackson Giants 9-6 to fall into the loser's bracket.

The Troopers held a 2-1 lead going into the 6th inning, Jackson would blow the game open with six runs in the 6th and the Troops never recovered, they play an elimination game today against Evanston.

other games Wednesday had Cheyenne beating Evanston 16-4, Laramie beat Casper 12-9 and Gillette knocked off Rock Springs 4-1.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open post season play today at the Wyoming state "AA" American Legion tournament in Casper, the Troops open against the Jackson Giants it will be the first game of the tournament first pitch is set for 10:00.

Troops Head coach Ben Phillips says Jackson has a good ball club and they need to get off to a good start today.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL STATE TOURNAMENT - The Sheridan Troopers open post season play tomorrow at the Wyoming State "AA" American Legion tournament in Casper, the Troops open against the Jackson Giants it will be the first game of the tournament and is scheduled to get underway at 10:00.

Monday morning the Troops went through one of their final practices of the season Head coach Ben Phillips says the plan is to stay sharp before the opener tomorrow.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers ended the regular season Saturday with a thrilling 3-2 walk off, extra inning win over Cheyenne Post 6.

Nolan McCafferty ended the game with a 2 run single in the bottom of the 10th inning after the Troopers had loaded the bases, Head coach Ben Phillips says it was just an all around great ball game.
