TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their district tournament in Gillette tomorrow against Riverton.

The Troops ended the regular season Sunday sweeping a double header from Sturgis, South Dakota Head coach Ben Phillips says it's good to build a little momentum heading into the post season.

He says they have taken it easy this week in practice getting ready for the opener in Gillette tomorrow.

And he says they are expecting to do well this weekend.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB GOLF - The Sheridan Broncs close out football camp this evening. Broncs Head coach Don Julian says they have a big fundraiser coming up in August.

The event will be the 2nd annual SHS booster club golf tournament at the Powder Horn Saturday August 6th.

SHERIDAN LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL - The Sheridan little league all-stars swept two games at the little league district tournament in Laramie yesterday.

The 9-10 year olds beat Gillette 5-1 and the 11-12 year olds beat Wheatland 11-6.

Pool play concludes today with bracket play opening tomorrow.

POWDER HORN GOLF - The 15th annual Summer Hummer golf tournament opens today with a practice round at the Powder Horn the three day tournament officially tees off tomorrow. 85 two man tea,ms are expected to compete this week.

The Powder Horn will be busy next week as well and some of the best amateur women's golfers from the United States and seven foreign countries will compete in the annual women's Transnational golf tournament.

The event begins with a practice round Monday then two rounds of stroke play before the top 64 advance to match play the tournament will run all next week.

ELKS ONE-CLUB GOLF - Register for the Elks one club golf tournament, the event will start Sunday at 4:00 at Kendrick golf course the tournament is nine holes golfers can only use one club and a putter registration forms are available at Kendrick golf course.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CAMP - Sheridan college women's volleyball coach Jennifer Weitzel and the Lady Generals will host their youth volleyball camp august 1st through 4th in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

The morning session is for players K-5th grade and the afternoon session for players in the 6th through 12th grades.
