Pokes hoop season ends / Troopers and Jets prepare for spring baseball practice

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost last night at Texas A&M 59-43 in the first round of the CBI tournament which ends their season.

TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American legion baseball held their first preseason meeting Wednesday night, Ben Phillips is back for his 6th season as the Troopers Head coach and says it was good to see all the players last night.

And he says they have a good infusion of young players coming into the program

Phillips has been watching the weather forecast and says it will delay the start of outdoor practice until late next week so they plan to be inside for a few days.

The 2014 schedule is a little more friendly for the troops this year, last summer they didn't have many home dates but that has changed and Phillips likes the schedule for this year.

The Troops open the season May 4th with a double header at the Billings Halos, the home opener is scheduled for May 11th with the Billings Royals.

BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan Bronc soccer team will open the season at Riverton tomorrow then to a jamboree in Casper Saturday.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team will open their season at home tomorrow hosting Riverton the JV's go at 4:00 the varsity at 6:00

TRACK / FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams will open their season Saturday at an invitational meet in Casper.
