NDNU transfer commits to SC Volleyball

Sheridan College volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Patricia Batoon a 5-11 Middle Hitter from Maui, HI to the 2015 roster. Batoon is the second player to ink an LOI for the 2015 class as she will join the SC program that will look to build off this year’s 20-13 record.

“Patty is a tremendous addition to our program,” said head coach Jennifer Stadler. Patty comes from not only an elite high school program but also has a year under a strong NCAA division 2 program to bring experience to Sheridan. Patty is an excellent blocker and brings a presence to the net. Patty will be able to come in and bring an immediate impact to our program.”

Batoon joins the Sheridan College Generals after a season with Notre Dame De Namur. The 5’11” middle played in every match as a true freshman recording 77 kills, 49 assisted blocks at .76 blocks per set. She had a team high of 10 kills and hit .588 vs conference opponent Hawaii Pacific University.

Before NDNU Patty played for an elite high school in Hawaii, Kamehameha High School. There Patty led her high school in both kills and blocks and received the prestigious honor of being named Maui Interscholastic League player of the year. While in high school Patty also received multiple years first team conference honors.

“We are very excited to have Patty joining the Sheridan Generals family,” said head coach Jennifer Stadler. “Patty is an intense competitor on the court and has a passion to push herself and her teammates to be better.” “I am excited to see the growth Patty will have over her time here in Sheridan and I look forward to having the opportunity to help Patty reach her goals.”
