Lions Club Tournament Chairman Bill Rathburn and A/C Junior Mason Beam

A/C BASKETBALL - Mason Beam is junior at Arvada/Clearmont high school he plays basketball for the Panthers they've been going through their preseason workouts for a week but Mason got his season started a little early this year at the annual Sheridan Lions club basketball classic at Sheridan college.

Home depot donated a gas grill to the Lions for a prize for their halftime shoot out contest where contestants must make a layup, free throw, three point shot and half court shot all in under :30 seconds to win the grill, during the Friday night games Mason had is number called and made all four shots in a row and did it in only :15 seconds.

We sat down at the Hoffman dome with Mason Friday to talk about his big win.40h

He made the first three shots very fast and we asked him what was going through his mind as the shots kept dropping.

With basketball practice starting last week with his teammates in Clearmont Mason says he hasn't been able to duplicate his winning form.

SHS HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams begin the season Thursday at a tournament in Casper both teams will play four games against Rock Springs, Evanston, Jackson and Natrona county all eight games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Game times Thursday against Rock Springs will be the Lady Broncs at 3:00 and the Broncs at 4:30 the games will be played at Kelly Walsh high school.

Friday's games against Evanston will be played at Casper college the girls play at noon the boys at 7:30.

Saturday they play at Natrona county against Jackson at 10:30 and noon then Natrona county at 4:30 and 6:00.

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams begin the new season Friday at tournaments the girls will be in Glenrock and boys in Wright

TR HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles open the season at home Friday against Rocky Mountain they'll play road games Saturday at Lovell.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers open their season Friday and Saturday at the Gillette Pentathlon and Gillette Relays.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers open at in Worland Thursday the first home matches will be December 22nd when they host duals with the Casper schools.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals are 11-1 after two wins at a tournament in Powell, this week they join the Lady Generals at a tournament in Williston, North Dakota.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Drake University Saturday they play their next game at South Carolina Wednesday you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM Cowboy pregame starts at 4:30 with the tip at 5:00.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat Idaho state Sunday 61-53 they play at Idaho Saturday.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys will play at the "Famous Idaho Potato" Bowl in Boise, Idaho Friday December 22nd against Central Michigan the game will kickoff at 2:00.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos lost at the Miami Dolphins Sunday 35-9 was the final, this week they host the Jets Sunday afternoon you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM Bronco pregame at noon with kickoff at 2:05.
