May and June shaping up as Sheridan and Sheridan county host several major sporting events

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the second round of conference play begins this week with Laramie and Cheyenne South,

The Broncs will be on the road this week while the Lady Broncs host the games with Laramie Friday at 4:00 for the JV's and 6:00 for the varsity.

The games Saturday morning with south will be played at Big Horn high school at 800 10:00 the reason for change of venue is because the Sheridan junior high is hosting a track meet at Sheridan high school.

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will tee it up in Powell Friday.

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will host an invitational Saturday teams from Powell, Gillette and both Casper schools will have teams here competing.

TRACK AND FIELD - In track and field action this week the Broncs and Lady Broncs will go to the Buffalo invitational tomorrow and the Wyoming track classic will be held in Casper Friday.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their season Saturday hosting Rapid City Post 22 the double header is scheduled to start at 1:00.

They will also play at home Sunday with the Billings Scarlets and Spearfish, South Dakota coming in for a round robin day of baseball game times are set for noon, 2:30 and 5:00

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 9-4 at Coors field against Pittsburgh last night we will have tonight's game live for you on 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 6:00.

WESTON JOHNSON YOUTH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT - The annual "Weston Johnson" youth volleyball tournament will be played in Sheridan May 7th and 8th they will have four youth divisions they will be using the gyms at the high school the junior and and YMCA for the event. Proceeds from the tournament go to the Weston Johnson scholarship fund.

SNICKERS CUP YOUTH SOCCER TOURNAMENT - May 7th and 8th the annual "Snickers Cup" youth soccer tournament will be played at the Big Horn Equestrian Center well over 100 youth teams from our region will compete.

SHS ACTIVITIES - The month of May till the first weekend in June will have Sheridan high school really going as they host East 4-A regional soccer and the all class state soccer tournament on back to back weekends and also the annual hoop jam outdoor tournament will be the first weekend in June.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says Sheridan and Sheridan county will be hopping over the next month.

Their spring will culminate with the hoop jam basketball tournament they have a new venue this year as the tournament will be held outside in the parking lot at Sheridan high school.
