STATE 2-A BASKETBALL - No surprises on day one in Casper in the state 2-A basketball bracket for our Sheridan county teams all three made it to the semi finals.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles led off the day against Wyoming Indian and it was the most competitive girls game of the day.

Wyoming Indian took a 16-13 lead after one quarter but the Lady Eagles clamped down the defense and held the Chiefs scoreless in the 2nd quarter to take a 24-16 lead at halftime and they would lead the rest of the way and win it 57-52.

Balanced scoring was the key for the Lady Eagles four scored in double figures led by Senior Kim Caywood with 13 points.

They will play Lovell at 4:30 today in one of the 2-A semi-finals that will be our first of three in a row live from the Casper Events Center all three semi final games will be broadcast live on our sister station 95.9 FM.

The Big Horn Rams went to 26-0 winning 66-44 over Rocky Mountain they led wire to wire using their big size advantage to hold the Grizzlies off Colby Wollenmen led three players in doubles with 21 points.

The Rams advance to the semi finals to take on Kemmerer at 7:30 that will be the third game of tonight's triple header on 95.9 FM.

The Big Horn Lady Rams made it a Sheridan county Trifecta by knocking off Greybull to make the semi finals.

They led by as many as 17 in the second half and won it 51-38. sophomore Mali Wright led the way with 17 points. The Lady Rams will play Burns in their semi-final at 6:00.

All three games will be played at the Casper Events center again Tongue River plays Lovell at 4:30 followed by the Lady Rams at 6:00 against Burns and the Rams play Kemmerer at 7:30 all live on 95.9 FM

4-A EAST REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Broncs opened the 4-A East regional advancing to the semi finals with a convincing 63-29 rout of Kelly Walsh which sets up a Bronc and Lady Bronc double header tonight live on AM 14-10 KWYO.

The Broncs get Laramie in the semi finals tonight at 5:30 in game one. The Lady Broncs follow the Broncs tonight on KWYO with Cheyenne East 7:00.

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - The indoor track season begins the state championships in Gillette today the Sheridan Broncs are the defending state champs the event wraps up tomorrow.
