BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams split their games with Gillette and have more conference play this week with Laramie and Cheyenne South.

The Lady Broncs will begin the second round of conference play this week with a conference record of 3-2 and 13-4 overall.

They lost at home against Gillette 55-51 Friday Head coach Sean Yeager says two pretty good teams played a tough game.

And he says several of their underclassmen got their first taste of what the rivalry is all about.

The Lady Broncs will host Laramie and Cheyenne South this week with a chance to get right back into the conference race.

The Broncs are 5-0 and 15-2 after their one point last second win in Gillette last Thursday senior Riley Ryan hit the game winner at the buzzer.

This week the Broncs play at Laramie Friday and at Cheyenne South Saturday.

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn basketball teams split games with Moorcroft Friday the Lady Rams won 59-24 the Rams lost 67-55.

On Saturday Lovell swept both games from Big Horn, the Lady Rams lost 55-35 and Rams fell 65-47.

TR HOOPS - The Tongue River teams swept all four weekend games starting out with bow out victories over Sundance and coming back Saturday for wins over Rocky Mountain the Lady Eagles won 72-23 and the Eagles beat Rocky 64-55.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals both picked up victories over Northwest college Saturday. their next games are on the road Saturday at Central Wyoming.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan bronc wrestlers competed at the "Ron Thon" Invitational in Riverton and finished 4th in the team race.

Clay Carter and Alex Marty won championships for the broncs at 132 and 285. Lucas Giesey was 2nd at 170, Derek Berrettini was 3rd at 120, Scott Hanify was 4th at 145 and Cody Delk was 3rd at 195.

On Thursday the Broncs will close out the regular season hosting Gillette for the conference championship, varsity matches are scheduled to start at 7:00.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys upset #13 UNLV Saturday next up for the Pokes at trip to the "Pit" at New Mexico Saturday.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat UNLV in overtime 51-47 Saturday, once again former Lady Bronc Kayla Woodward led the Cowgirls with 16 points and 7 rebounds.

The Cowgirls are off until Saturday when they host New Mexico.
