Local sports schedule -- Lots of action this week

SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams have more conference action with the Cheyenne schools this week.

On a windy Monday at practice Lady Bronc Head coach Mallery Marshall said the Lady Bronc win at Gillette last Friday was big especially coming off a conference loss against Laramie.

And Marshall says the matches with the Cheyenne schools will be a good test for the Lady Broncs at home this week. And they are working this week on being more aggressive with the ball.

Game times Friday will be at 4:00 and 6:00 and Saturday at 10:00 and noon with the Broncs on the road in Cheyenne.

TRACK / FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete at an invitational at Kelly Walsh high school on Friday, Head coach Art Bauers says their spring schedule really gets rolling over the next three weeks.

In other track and field action this week Tongue River high school will host their first ever meet at home on their new track.

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers tee it up Friday at a tournament in Buffalo.

TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their season May 4th at the Billings Halos the Troops home opener will be a double header with the Billings Royals May11th.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies opened a three game home series with the Chicago White Sox last night and whipped the Sox 8-1 game two is tonight and you can hear it live on 87.7 FM starting at 6:40.
