SHERIDAN TROOPERS - The Sheridan Troopers open up the state "AA" tournament in Cheyenne tomorrow the Troops open with Laramie at 12:30.

SHERIDAN JETS - The Sheridan Jets are the hosts for the Northern American Legion Junior baseball regional tournament.

The regional is scheduled to begin at Thorne-Rider stadium Thursday the Jets will play at 8:00 against Fort Collins, Colorado.

LITTLE LEAGUE STATE - The Sheridan Little League 9-10 year olds opened their state tournament in Gillette yesterday with a first round come from behind win over Powell. Down 5-1 entering the 5th inning they score 14 runs and took the game 15-5. They continue play today in Gillette with a game against Riverton.

TRANSNATIONAL GOLF - The Powder Horn is busy this week as well and some of the best amateur women's golfers from the United States and seven foreign countries are competing in the annual Transnational golf tournament.

Two rounds of stroke play begin today, the top 64 in stroke play advance to match play the tournament runs all next week.

JR. HI / SR.HI SPEED CAMP - Sheridan high school is hosing a speed camp for all Sheridan county junior high and high school athletes Thursday and Friday.

The camp is free for and will be held at the Sheridan high school track Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 with check-in at 12:30.

Friday they'll run it from 8;30 till noon, Sheridan high school football coach Don Julian says the speed camp isn't just for football players but all athletes.

Again the camp runs Thursday afternoon with check-in at 12:30 and Friday from 8:30 to noon and it's free to all junior high and high school athletes.

SHS BOOSTER GOLF TOURNEY - The Sheridan high school booster club will host their annual fund raising golf tournament at the Powder Horn Saturday August 6th. Call the Powder Horn to sign up your teams.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CAMP - Sheridan college women's volleyball coach Jennifer Weitzel and the Lady Generals will host their youth volleyball camp August 1st through 4th in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

The morning session is for players K-5th grade and the afternoon session for players in the 6th through 12th grades.
