Larry Shyatt leaves the Wyoming basketball program / Troopers set to begin spring training / Springs sports resume schedule Thursday

SHYATT RESIGNS AS THE COWBOYS BASKETBALL COACH - After five seasons and one Mountain West conference tournament championship and an NCAA tournament appearance University of Wyoming basketball Head coach Larry Shyatt stepped down Monday, Assistant coach Allen Edwards was named as the next Cowboy Head coach.

At the news conference Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman opened the event thanking Shyatt for his service to the University.

Following Burman's comments Shyatt talked about his decision to say goodbye to the Wyoming program.

TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball begins preseason practice in two weeks the troops open their schedule April 30th.

Monday the program had a great turn out for their first meeting before the season begins and we caught up with one of the Troopers best players who will be one of the team leaders this season that is Sheridan high school Junior Coy Steel.

Steel had a knee injury early during the last football season that ended his season including the Bronc basketball season and the timing for his rehab has him almost ready to resume playing as the baseball season gets closer.

And he says he is looking forward to competing again and expects the Troopers to have a good 2016 season.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open the regular season with a three game series at Arizona April 4th that will be our first live regular season broadcast will start at 7:00 on 87.7 FM.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams have their next meet in Casper Thursday.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams begin Thursday with games against Riverton the boys will play on the road while the Lady Broncs open at home. The JV's go at 4:00 the varsity match will start at 6:00.
