Joe Legerski Retires as Cowgirl Basketball Coach / Rockies Whip the Nats / Living With Large Predators

WYOMING GAME AND FISH DEPT. - Dustin Lasseter is a Biologist and Game Manager in Cody for the Wyoming game and fish department Wednesday night he held a large carnivore workshop at the Fulmer library the program centered on living in bear, mountain lion and wolf country.

Lasseter says your best protection from an incident with a large predator is be prepared and be aware of your surroundings.

Part of last night's program focused on wolves, since reintroduction in the 1990's the population has grown and territory has widened all over the Rocky mountain region.

And finally today with the Grizzly bear population rebounding to higher levels people in the Cody area are facing more and more issues living with those bears.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - After 16 season and more than 300 wins Wyoming Cowgirl basketball coach Joe Legerski announced his retirement Wednesday. In his final season he took the Cowgirls into the final eight of the WNIT.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams play Cheyenne Central and East the Broncs will be on the road the Lady Broncs are at home.

Tomorrow night's games with Central will be at 4:00 and 6:00 Saturday's games with East will be played at Big Horn high school at 10:00 and noon.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams are on the road for a big invitational in Sturgis, South Dakota Saturday.

The Tongue River track teams host their track invitational tomorrow the Big Horn will competing in that meet as well.

GOLF - The spring high school golf schedule has the Broncs and Lady Broncs playing at a tournament in Powell tomorrow afternoon.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers start their baseball season this weekend in Casper they will play Laramie and Rock Springs at 10:00 and 12:30 Saturday then Gillette and Cheyenne Sunday at 1:00 and 3:30.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat the Washington Nationals 9-5 Wednesday they are off today and will open a weekend series in Atlanta tomorrow you can hear that game on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 5:00.
