Cowboys Advance to the "CBI" Finals / Doubleday Sports Update / American Legion Baseball Meets Tonight

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Utah Valley in the semi finals of the CBI tournament last night 71-68 they will now play Coastal Carolina in a best of three championship series that will begin in South Carolina Monday night the Cowboys will host game two next week on Wednesday and an if necessary game would be played Friday March 31st.

SHS SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams will play in Buffalo tomorrow night the conference schedule begins next week with matches against Laramie and Cheyenne South.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys will host Utah valley in the semifinals of the CBI tournament tonight and we will have the game live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.

The "CBI" is down to it's final four the other semi final has Coastal Carolina playing at the University of Illinois-Chicago the two winners will meet in a best of three game series to determine a tournament champion.

Sheridan College Rodeo Results

This past weekend the Sheridan College Rodeo Team headed to Gillette, WY for the first spring rodeo.

The team was anxious to get things going for the spring and we had a number of individuals that did very well.

The men’s team won the team title with 585 points. Chance Ames won the bareback riding with an outstanding short round ride of 78 points. He was followed by Hunter Carlson who was a consistent 72 in each round, Kyle Bloomquist placed 3rd in the short round and 4th in the average. Trig Clark split the 1st round in the bareback riding with a 74 point ride.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys have advanced with another victory in the College Basketball Invitational tournament last night the Pokes beat the University of Missouri - Kansas City 72-61 after the victory Cowboy Head coach Allen Edwards.

The Pokes will host Utah Valley in the semi finals tomorrow night and we will have the game live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.

Bronc / Lady Bronc Top Finishers at the "Glenn Legler" Track Invite in Casper

The Bronc and Lady bronc track teams opened the outdoor season at the "Glenn Legler" invitational in Casper Saturday the Lady Broncs were 2nd and the Broncs 3rd.

Highlights included Peyton Bomar winning the 300 meter hurdles and the long jump for the Lady Broncs and Xiomara Robinson won the 3200 meters.

Other top finishers for the Lady Broncs - Riley Rafferty was 3rd in the 100 meters, Taemalle Lawson was 3rd in the 200 meters, Laura Alikce was 2nd in both the 800 and 1600 meters, Anna Zowada was 3rd at 800 meters.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball season closed out Saturday with a 68-67 loss against Washington state in the second round of the WNIT.

Cowgirls Advance in the WNIT / Pokes Host UMKC Monday / American Legion Baseball set to Begin the 2017 Season

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls opened the first round of the WNIT with a victory over Seattle university they beat the Redhawks 68-52 to advance to the 2nd round that will be a home game tomorrow afternoon against Washington state.

Lady Generals Hoops has a new Head Coach / Pokes win CBI Opener / Cowgirls Host Seattle in the WNIT Tonight

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - Sheridan college announced Wednesday that they have hired a new Lady Generals basketball coach to replace the retired Frank McCarthy.

Ryan Davis takes over the Lady Generals program, Davis is familiar with Sheridan college he served as as Generals assistant coach in 2010-11 and with the Lady Generals in 2014-15, most recently he was an assistant with the Casper college Lady T-Birds.
