Ligocki Takes Over the Lady Bronc Basketball Program / The Big Horn Lady Rams 3-Peat as 2-A Track Champs / Troopers Take 3 out of 4 Over the Weekend

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - Larry Ligocki will be a familiar face as he takes over the Sheridan Lady Bronc basketball program, his appointment as the next head coach of the program became official Friday.

Ligocki knows Sheridan basketball well, he played for the Broncs in high school and also played for Bruce Hoffman in his college days for Sheridan college, he coached in the Lady Broncs program as an assistant for two Head coaches now he takes over the program.

State Soccer and Track Field Day One Results / Troopers Play Two in Billings Saturday / Rockies Open a Weekend Series at the Reds

STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Wyoming state soccer championships enter day two, here are today's semi final match ups in 4-A girls Cheyenne Central will play Gillette and Cheyenne East will play Laramie.

In the 4-A boys bracket Cheyenne Central play Casper Kelly Walsh and Cheyenne East will play Green River.

The 3-A girls semi's will have Cody vs Lander and Buffalo against Worland in the boys 3-A Cody plays Lander and Torrington takes on Worland.

The Colorado Rockies Play Two Today (Thursday)

The Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins play a doubleheader today both games can be heard live today on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The first broadcast will start at 10:30 am the regular scheduled broadcast will start at 4:30 pm.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL STATE SOCCER - The Wyoming state soccer championships begin today at the Big Horn Equestrian center it's going to be a wet first day for sure Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says the games will go on and they'll be hoping for a break in the weather tomorrow and Saturday.

Webb Wright Youth Baseball Opens the Season / SRD Board Meets Today / State Track and Soccer Open Tomorrow

SRD - The Webb Wright youth baseball season is underway games started Monday Seth Ulvestad is the Sheridan Recreation District Program Coordinator for youth baseball.

Ulvestad says they got off to a good start and participation numbers are up this season.

Seth also has an outdoor program for kids starting next month it's called "Fresh Air Friday" which will be day hikes in the Big Horn mountains.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys are coming off an historic season in which they won their Mountain West division and played for the MWC title then a trip to the Poinsettia bowl last December all sights now are on returning Quarterback Josh Allen and the fans looking for the Pokes to be even better in 2017.

Head coach Craig Bohl says with the national spotlight now on Allen and the team the game has changed for his Cowboys.

SRD ADULT SOFTBALL - Next week the Sheridan Recreation District opens another season of adult slow pitch softball they have leagues for co-ed teams, women and men.

Colton Thompson is the adult softball coordinator for the Rec District team registration deadline is this week.

Participation in the adult softball leagues has remained strong for the last several years and Thompson says they have leagues for all skill levels.
