High School Winter Sports Resume Thursday / Cowboy Hoops at Nevada Tomorrow

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will resume the season Thursday at a tournament in Cheyenne.

They open with Kelly Walsh Thursday at 3:30 and 5:00, Friday's games will be against Green River also at 3:30 and 5:00 and Saturday they play Rock Springs at 10:30 am and noon.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams host the North / South tournament it's three days starting Thursday.

Thursday the Rams and Lady Rams play Burns the Eagles and Lady Eagles play Pine Bluffs.

They all play twice Friday with Tongue River taking on Burns and Southeast, Big Horn will play Pine Bluffs and Lusk.

The event concludes Saturday with Big Horn playing Southeast and TR taking on Lusk.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both have tune up games before they start league play the Lady Generals host Dawson county Montana Thursday at 5:30.

The Generals will play an all-star team Friday both teams then open league play January 10th at home against Central Wyoming.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys are coming off a win over San Diego state they play their next game tomorrow night at Nevada Head coach Allen Edwards said after the win over the Aztecs they needed to stay competitive with a week off.

You can hear the Cowboys tomorrow night on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame starts at 8:00 with the tip at 8:30.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls opened MWC play with a loss at San Diego, they play their next game at home tomorrow night against Nevada.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will compete at the "Shane Shatto" invitational tournament in Douglas matches start Friday.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers open the new year at home hosting meets Friday and Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan high school indoor track season opens tomorrow with the first day of practice, the first competition is set for January 13th.
