SHS GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers sit in the top spot as a team after the first day of the Riverton Invitational tournament. Cameron Lindell leads the way after a blistering first round of 64, teammate Kamrin Allen is hot on his heels after a first round 68 play concludes today.

Following play today the next tournament will start Monday in Douglas. Kendrick golf course will host the Sheridan Invitational starting next Thursday.

BH / TR GOLF - The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers started their fall season in Kemmerer yesterday. The Big Horn Rams sit in 2nd place behind the host team and the Tongue River Eagles sit in 6th place after day one.

Big Horn's Bryce Williams is in 7th place in the individual race and Tongue River Lady Eagle Kalin Bell also sits in 7th place after the first day.

Tongue River and Big Horn Head coach Sandy Michelena says they had a pretty good day considering they don't have much varsity golf experience. And coach “Mitch”says his biggest job is to make sure the players have a good experience and play the game the right way. Both teams will play their next tournament in Moorcroft next week.

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers open their season next week with the Casper Relays and Gillette Pentathlon.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Sheridan high school tennis season opens a week from today in Jackson and the Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners will be on the road next Friday for the Cody Inivitational.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL - Next Friday the Sheridan and Big Horn volleyball teams will play in a tournament in Riverton and the Tongue River girls will open at a tournament in Lovell.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The high school football season begins with the Sheridan Broncs at Casper Kelly Walsh a week from today we will have the game for you live on AM 14-10 KWYO also at 95.9 FM and on-line at

The Tongue River Eagles will open on the road in Hulett on September 3rd and the Big Horn Rams will open at Greybull also on September 3rd. Once again the Rams will play all of their home games this season at Sheridan high school.

The NSI Wolves open the football season September 3rd at Rocky Mountain.

The Sheridan recreation district and Sheridan high school have teamed up to present a program for all Sheridan county coaches and especially youth coaches.

YOUTH SPORTS COACHES SEMINAR - They are bringing in guest speaker Ron Olson Monday evening for a program in the Sheridan high school auditorium. The program is free and all youth coaches are invited Monday night at 7:00 in the Sheridan high school auditorium
