Broncs win the Riverton Invitational

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers blew the field away to win the Riverton invitational by 54 shots Evanston was 2nd . Cameron Lindell took the overall individual title with teammate Kamrin Allen finishing 2nd.

They have a lot of golf to play this week they begin today at a two day tournament Douglas. Thursday and Friday they host the Sheridan high school invitational at Kendrick golf course.

RAMS AND EAGLES GOLF – The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers started their fall season in Kemmerer the Rams finished 4th and the Eagles were 7th.

Big Horn's Bryce Williams finished 8th in the individual standings and Kalin Bell from the Tongue River Lady Eagles finished in 8th place as well.

Tomorrow they host the Big Horn / Tongue River invitational at Kendrick golf course and will play at a tournament in Moorcroft Friday.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC CROSS COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams will open the season Friday at an invitational in Casper Head coach Art Bauers says the first week of practice went well.

The Broncs come back this fall with a good group of returning runners and Bauers says they put in a lot of good road work over the summer. And he says if all goes well the Broncs have set themselves up for a good season.

For the Lady Broncs in 2010 they start over with the loss of two great runners that graduated this past spring, all-state runners Dana Morin and Lela Carpenter. Bauers says this will give the Lady Broncs a chance to find their own identity this season.

Again they changed their schedule this week instead of running in Cody Friday they'll compete in Casper.

SHS TENNIS / SWIMMING - The Sheridan high school tennis season opens Thursday in Jackson and the Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers open their season with the Casper relays Friday and Gillette pentathlon Saturday.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL - Friday the Sheridan and Big Horn volleyball teams will play in a tournament in Riverton and the Tongue River girls will open at a tournament in Lovell.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The high school football season begins with the Sheridan Broncs at Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night. we will have the game for you live on AM 14-10 KWYO also at 95.9 FM and on-line at sheridanemdia.com.

Our coverage will begin at 6:30 with the First Federal Savings Bank pregame show kickoff is set for 7:00.

BH / TR / NSI FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles will open on the road in Hulett on September 3rd the Big Horn Rams will open at Greybull also on September 3rd.

YOUTH COACHES SEMINAR - The Sheridan recreation district and Sheridan high school have teamed up to present a program for all Sheridan county coaches and especially youth coaches. They are bringing in guest speaker Ron Olson this evening for a program in the Sheridan high school auditorium.

The program is free and all youth coaches are invited tonight at 7:00 in the Sheridan high school auditorium.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB BBQ - The Sheridan high school booster club will host the fall sports BBQ tomorrow night at Sheridan high school. The BBQ is open to all athletes, parents and coaches they will begin serving food at 5:00..

At 7:00 all fall sports coaches excluding football will have their parents meetings all fall sports parents are asked to attend these meetings.
