SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The 2012-13 local basketball season opens this weekend with the Sheridan college teams in action.

Both the Generals and Lady Generals have gone over an overhaul with several new members to each roster.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy says his new freshmen have made the adjustment to playing the college game.

And he says the team make up has a good mix of players that bring different strengths to the team.

They open this weekend hosting a two day tournament with Western Wyoming and teams from Fort Carson and Air Force Prep and McCarthy says it's nice to get to open the season at home.

The Generals open at a tournament in Gillette Friday Head coach Steve Smiley says they had several scrimmages and the new players are getting better and better as the weeks have moved along.

And he says they have several tough games over the next several weeks to get them ready for conference play which starts after the first of the year.

And Smiley says fans should enjoy watching the Generals play this season.

Your first chance to see the Generals in action will be Monday night when they join the Lady Generals in hosting games with Rocky Mountain college games will be at 5:30 and 7:30 in the Hoffman Dome

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL - We have a high school playoff double header for you Friday starting out in Big Horn with the Rams hosting a semi final game with Lovell.

We will have it live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM the pregame show starts at 145 with kickoff at 2:00 pm.

The Sheridan Broncs play at Gillette in their semi final game Friday night we will be on the air live at 6:30 with the First Federal savings bank pregame show kickoff is at 7:00.

WYOMING COWBOYS - The Wyoming Cowboys host the "Border War" with Colorado state Saturday afternoon broadcast time is at 12:30 with the Cowboy pregame and kickoff is at 2:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

DENVER BRONCOS - The Denver Broncos play at Cincinnati Sunday it's an early broadcast with the pregame show live at 9:05 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.
