Gary Benson track meet canceled / Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer split with Buffalo / Rockies fall to the Bucs 6-1

TRACK AND FIELD - Sheridan high school has canceled the "Gary Benson" invitational track meet today because of weather concerns Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says because of scheduling conflicts moving forward they will not reschedule the meet.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams split non conference matches with Buffalo last night the Broncs dropped a 1-0 decision while the Lady Broncs got three goals from Robbi Ryan and shut out the Bison 3-0.

The Lady Broncs had lost two straight before winning last night Head coach Mallery Marshall said they needed a good outcome last night.

And she says they just needed to get refocused after losses against Cheyenne Central and Gillette.

The second round of conference play begins this weekend with Laramie and Cheyenne South, Laramie shut the Lady Broncs out three weeks ago and Marshall says from here on out all the game are very tough.

Friday and Saturday they get back into conference play with matches against Laramie and Cheyenne South the girls will play at home with Laramie Friday at 6:00.

The game Saturday with South will be played at Big Horn high school at 10:00 the reason for change of venue is because the Sheridan junior high is hosting a track meet at Sheridan high school.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers will tee it up in Powell Friday.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will host an invitational Saturday teams from Powell, Gillette and both Casper schools will have teams here competing.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their season Saturday hosting Rapid City Post 22 the double header is scheduled to start at 1:00.

They will also play at home Sunday with the Billings Scarlets and Spearfish, South Dakota coming in for a round robin day of baseball game times are set for noon, 2:30 and 5:00

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 6-1 at Coors field against Pittsburgh last night we will have tonight's game live for you on 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 6:00.
