Full week of local sports action / Pokes lose at Utah state / Cowgirls host Aggies tonight

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams will compete at a meet Saturday in Chadron, Nebraska we heard yesterday from Head coach Art Bauers about some of the early season success the athletes have had including Lady Bronc Sophomore Peyton Bomar.

In the last two weeks Bomar has set two school indoor records in the triple jump and long jump and Bauers says they are two very good marks.

The big indoor event of the season will start February 19th as the annual Simplot games will be held in Pocatello, Idaho. The Simplot games is a national indoor track event all competitors must meet qualifying standards to attend.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will have road duals at Laramie and all three Cheyenne schools, Friday they will be in Laramie to take on the Plainsmen and Cheyenne South, Saturday they will be in Cheyenne to dual East and Central.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers host a dual with Gillette tomorrow and have a road double dual with Casper Kelly Walsh and Natrona county Friday.

HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey team is off until February 7th and 8th when they play two in Gillette.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams play at Cheyenne Central Friday and at Cheyenne East Saturday game times are at 5:30 and 7:00 Friday night and Saturday at 11:30 and 1:00 all four games can be heard live on 14-10 KWYO.

EAGLES / RAMS BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles host games with Wright Saturday and the Big Horn basketball teams have Moorcroft at home Friday and play at Sundance Saturday.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will be on the road this weekend with games at Western Wyoming in Rock Springs and at Casper college, then they will have three straight at home.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at Utah state Tuesday night 56-44, Utah state used a zone defense to shut the Cowboys down.

Next up for the Pokes is a home game with Nevada Saturday you can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio, Cowboy pregame at 3:30 and the tip at 4:00.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls host Utah state tonight that game can be heard live as well on KWYO and 87.7 FM, pregame at 6:30 and thew tip at 7:00

SUPER BOWL - Super Bowl 49 will be played Sunday and we will have the entire radio broadcast for you live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio. The Super Bowl pregame show will start at noon Sunday with kickoff at 4:30.
