TOURNAMENT BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lions Club will host their annual basketball tournament at the Hoffman Dome today and tomorrow. Games will be played at 1, 3, 5 and 7 pm both days. The Lady Generals will play at 5:00 and the Generals at 7:00. Tickets can be purchased at the door -- all-day adult tickets are $6 and all-day student tickets are $3.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals enter the tournament with a record of 5-2 overall. Head coach Frank McCarthy says they continue to make progress. And they expect to have two good games this weekend. They play Little Big Horn tonight at 5:00 and Western Wyoming tomorrow at 5:00.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Generals will play Ogala Lakota Community College from South Dakota and Rocky Mountain College from Billings. The Generals stand at 4-1 overall; head coach Steve Smiley says fans should enjoy all the action in the Hoffman Dome. They play tonight and tomorrow at 7:00.

The Generals host another tournament next weekend. Fans should really enjoy the competition as they play Lake Region Community College from North Dakota and Western Nebraska from Scottsbluff. The newest member of Region IX, Gillette College will be the fourth team in the tournament.

UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys will start today's action at CSU. They are 5-6 overall and will become bowl eligible with a win against the Rams. We will have it live today on KWYO. The broadcast begins at 11:00 with kick-off at noon in Fort Collins.

UW BASKETBALL - The basketball Cowboys lost at Denver University Wednesday night. They are back at the “AA” to host the World Vision Tournament starting tonight. They open it tonight against Monmouth University from New Jersey -- that broadcast will begin at 7:00 on KWYO.

NFL - Green Bay was at Detroit, and the “Pack” ran their record to 7-4, routing the Lions 34-12. Oakland played at Dallas, and it was all Cowboys as they cruised over the Raiders 24-7. The New York Giants were in Denver last night and the Broncos ended their 4-game losing streak, beating the Giants 26-6.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team will close 2009 Monday night with their post-season Championship Awards Banquet. The event will be held at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.
