BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams play Billings Senior tomorrow and Natrona county Saturday the Lady Broncs will play at home tomorrow night at 7:30 the Broncs will play at Senior Saturday afternoon the Broncs host Natrona county at 3:00.

The Lady Broncs are 8-1 overall and banged up a bit this week, Head coach Jessica Pickett says picking up four wins last week in Cheyenne was big for the team.

BRONC SWIMMING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers are coming off their first home weekend of their season and Head coach Brent Moore says they all competed well.

Mid way through the season they have just a couple of state meet qualifiers but he expects a few more to make the qualifying standards over the next few weeks.

This weekend the Broncs will be on the road in Laramie for a quad meet with the Casper schools and over to Cheyenne for a big invitational meet Saturday.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers had a good tournament in Douglas finishing 2nd last Saturday, Head coach Tyson Shatto says it was a good start to 2015 for the Broncs.

The Broncs are in pretty good shape right now and are looking to making another top three run at the state tournament.

This week they compete at the annual "Cowboy Invitational" in Miles City. Montana and Tyson says this is a great mid season event.

Cowboys make top 25 college hoop list

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 12, 2015) – Winners of seven-straight games, the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team climbed in the national top-25 polls on Monday. The Cowboys are ranked No. 25 in the Associated Press poll with 71 votes, while earning 28 votes in the USA Today Coaches poll to rank second in receiving votes.

The Sheridan Bulldogs went undefeated to win the 6th Grade Girls division of the Holiday Inn Winter Shoot out this past weekend here in Sheridan.

Sheridan Elks "Hoop Shoot" Results

The Sheridan Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot was held Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College.
PE Teachers in Buffalo, Arvada-Clearmont, Big Horn, Tongue River, and Sheridan held shoot-offs for kids 8 to 13, to determine school champions and those champions, along with kids who were unable to participate at school, were the ones shooting free throws on Saturday.
Winners are:
Girls 8 - 9: 1st- Addie Pendergast, Tongue River 11/25
2nd- Brooke Larsen, Sagebrush 9/25 3/5 in shoot-off
Boys 8 - 9: 1st- Tavis Aksamit, Tongue River 17/25

Weekend Local sports wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams combined to go 6-1 in Cheyenne at the McDonalds classic tournament the Lady Broncs went 4-0 to go to 8-1 on the season the broncs went 2-1 and are 5-3 overall.

The Lady Broncs dominated Wyoming teams Green River and Rock Springs and whipped two Colorado schools from Fort Collins and Grand Junction.
