Final WYO Rodeo Stats / Troopers Host the Billings Royals Tonight / Rockies Whip the Mets

2017 WYO RODEO FINAL - Here are the final results and payoff of the 2017 Sheridan WYO rodeo in the rough stock events Ty Breuer took the Bareback riding with a score of 88 and took home over 5200 dollars, Taos Muncy took the Saddle Bronc riding with a score of 85.5 and in the Bull riding Guthrie Murray scored an 87.5 and took home over 4400 dollars.

In the timed events Blaine Jones took the Steer wrestling average and over 3000 dollars, in the Barrel race Ivy Hurst won with a time of 17.16 and won over 5100 dollars.

In the Team roping average the winners were Erich Rogers and Cory Petska each winning over 3500 dollars.

The first Go winner in the Tie Down roping was Kyle Lucas the second Go winner was Shane Hanchey both taking away over 2400 hundred dollars and in the Steer roping the average winner was Chet Hansen taking away over 3900 dollars.

The total payoff includes four rounds of steer roping as well the total payout for this year's WYO rodeo was $258,822.00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers host a Doubleheader with the Billings Royals tonight Head coach Ben Phillips says tonight's match up starts a nice run of home games against some of the best teams they see this season. We will broadcast game one of the doubleheader live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:00.

BRONC FOOTBALL CAMP - The 11th annual Sheridan Bronc football mini-camp will run today through Wednesday the camp for the Young Broncs up through 8th grade from 5-6 pm the cost is $15 and includes a tee shirt.

Registration for the young kids is at Homer Scott stadium starting at 4:30 this afternoon , players will need proof of insurance at registration.

FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS - The 2017-18 high school sports season is three weeks away with Bronc football team opening fall camp Monday August 7th the rest of the fall sports will open August 14th with the first weekend of competition is Friday and Saturday August 25th and 26th.

All junior high and high school athletes are encouraged to get sports physicals completed as soon as possible.
