Felker / Hastings win state titles for the Broncs at state swimming and wrestling / Rams - Eagles qualify for state hoops / Bronc / Lady Bronc regional hoops open Thursday

STATE WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 4th at the state championships Saturday in Casper, they had one state champion as Hayden Hastings capped off his season with a state title at 160 pounds.

STATE SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers had a tremendous weekend at their state meet with an impressive 4th place finish, congratulations goes out to the Broncs Presley Felker who was the state champ in the 100 Butterfly.

REGIONAL HOOPS - 1-A / 2-A regional basketball tournament action the Big Horn Lady Rams and Tongue River Lady Eagles season came to and end over the weekend. The Lady Rams were knocked out Friday in a one point loss to Burns, the Lady Eagles made it to Saturday but lost an elimination game.

The Big Horn Rams and Tongue River eagles qualified for the state tournament Saturday.

The Rams dropped a game against Pine Bluffs in the regional final 63-44 they will have a number two seed and will play Wyoming Indian in the first round of the state tournament Thursday afternoon in Casper.

The Eagles dropped their consolation final against southeast 65-55 and will be a four seed and will take on Wind River Thursday afternoon in the first round.

Both games will be played at Casper college, the Rams play at noon the Eagles follow at 1:30 both games can be hear live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

At the 1-A East regional the Arvada / Clearmont girls lost out Friday the A/C boys were eliminated Friday along with the NSI Wolves.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams ended the regular season at Gillette Friday night.

The Lady Broncs fell behind late in the first half and couldn't quite catch Gillette in the season half and lost 63-51.

The Broncs took Gillette into overtime but Gillette went onto win the game 72-66. Broncs Head coach Gale Smith.

And he says they Broncs played one of their best games of the season.

Now it's onto the post season they open Thursday at the regional tournament in Cheyenne.

Both teams open the 4-A East regional in Cheyenne Thursday night against Laramie the girls game is scheduled for 7:00 and the boys at 8:30 both game can be heard live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at UNLV Saturday 79-74. They host Fresno state in the regular season finale Wednesday night, you can hear it live on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is 6:30.

The Cowgirls crushed UNLV 80-57 Saturday afternoon they finish up at Fresno Wednesday night.

The Mountain West conference tournament starts a week from today in Las Vegas.
