Fall Football Looking Ahead to the Season Opener in two Weeks / Rockies beat Cleveland in Extras / Broncos at Bears Tonight

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team will host the Rock Springs Tigers in the season opener two weeks from today kickoff will be at 7:00 pm.

Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs have gone through three days of spirited practice and with golf, tennis starting this week and the rest of the fall sports starting Monday the fall season signals the start of another school year.

The rest of Wyoming's high school football teams opened practice yesterday with opening day September 1st Big Horn and Tongue River will open at home the Rams host Rocky Mountain the Eagles hosting Wright.

The Rams will have a new conference this year as they play in the 1-A east and Head coach Micheal McGuire says the rams have a tough regular season on the way.

And with the Rams dropping into the 1-A ranks that means the return of the old "Thunder Bowl" game with Tongue River.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open the season at Iowa September 2nd the Pokes then play their home opener in week two with Gardner-Webb and the big home date with Oregon September 16th.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos will play their preseason opener at the Chicago Bears tonight the game will be broadcast live on Sports Talk 87.7 FM the Countdown to kickoff show starts at 4:05 with kickoff set for 6:00.

FALL SPORTS - The high school golf and tennis season starts this week the Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will tee it up at their first tournament in Powell today.

The Bronc and Lady Broncs tennis teams open the season Saturday at a Jamboree in Casper.

Girls swimming, Cross country and Volleyball teams all open practice Monday, the Bronc and Lady Bronc Cross country runners start at 6:30 am, Lady Bronc volleyball will go at 8:30 am and 2:00 pm the Lady Bronc swimmers start Monday at 5:00 pm.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat Cleveland in extra innings Wednesday here's Jack Corrigan with the game wrap up.You can hear the game in Miami tomorrow night on Sports Talk 87.7 FM.
