Cowgirls Drop MWC Opener at SDSU / Broncos Close out the Season Sunday vs KC / Bronc Hoops Looking Ahead to 2018

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will resume the season next Thursday at a tournament in Cheyenne.

The Broncs are 4-2 overall both losses were by three points against Evanston and Billings Senior.

After they closed out 2017 with a win over Casper Natrona we talked with Head coach Jeff Martini he likes how the Broncs are coming together and they needed the holiday break to get ready for the grind in January and February.

Pokes beat the Aztecs / Cowgirls at San Diego State Tonight / Broncos Host Chiefs Sunday

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys opened MWC play with a win over San Diego state Hayden Dalton hit for 36 points leading the Pokes to the 82-69 victory, here's Head coach Allen Edwards.

Edwards went onto to say it was the type of game the Cowboys needed to start off league play.

They are off until Wednesday when they go out on the road to play at Nevada.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys open MWC play at home tonight against San Diego state. We will have it live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM broadcast time is 6:30.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls open league play tomorrow at San Diego state it will be live as well on KWYO and 106.9 FM that broadcast will start at 7:00.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - One other follow up today to the Cowboy football season the Pokes finished up with an 8-5 record after their bowl game win in Boise matching last years record, last week was the NCAA's new early signing day for football.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will resume the season January 4th,5th and 6th at a tournament in Cheyenne their opponents will be Rock Springs, Casper Kelly Walsh and Green River.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams will open 2018 hosting the 2-A North / South tournament it's three days January 4th, 5th and 6th both schools will host.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both have tune up games before they start league play January 10th when they host games with Central Wyoming.

The Sheridan Elks Hoop Shoot was held Thursday, Dec. 21 at Sheridan Jr. High School. 57 girls and boys from Sheridan and Johnson counties participated. The winners were:

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams take on Natrona county tonight the Lady Broncs play in Casper while the Broncs have their home opener the varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 we will have it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

We heard from Bronc Senior Blayne Baker yesterday on college football national signing day, Blayne is now a Wyoming Cowboy and when we sat down at Sheridan high school the conversation turned to the Bronc basketball team.

Baker Makes it Official Signs on to Become a Cowboy / Bronc Wrestlers host KW and NC / TR Hoops on the Road

BLAYNE BAKER SIGNS WITH UW - Wednesday was early national signing day for college football players, Sheridan high school Senior Blayne Baker was of those signing on the dotted line as he made it official becoming a Wyoming Cowboy.

Baker committed to Wyoming in the spring and joined his teammates for their senior season as the broncs won their third consecutive 4-A state championship.

Yesterday was the big day and Blayne says it's nice to finally have the recruiting process come to an end.

Pokes Drop Home Game to Northern Colorado / Cowboy Football at the Potato Bowl Friday / Bronc Basketball Plays Home Opener Friday

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys lost at home to Northern Colorado Tuesday night 91-84 the Pokes are now 9-4 on the season as they get ready to open conference play next week.

Head coach Allen Edwards says total team rebounding is a big key for the Cowboys right now.

The Cowboys open MWC play next Wednesday at home against San Diego state.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - - The Cowgirls get back into action tomorrow when they travel to play at 14th ranked Duke.
