Troopers play two at Cody / Rockies blast D-Backs / 2015 WYO Rodeo week opens July 6th

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are scheduled to play two at Cody this evening then back to back tournaments coming up in Rapid City and Cheyenne.

Head coach Ben Phillips says the Troops have had some good work outs preparing for this latest stretch of games.

And they expect a good challenge at Cody tonight.

After tonight's double header the Troopers will play at a tournament in Rapid City this weekend and then to Cheyenne for another three day event the following week.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will not play at Thorne-Rider stadium tonight, there opponent canceled the double header.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips found out last night that Casper would not be coming to Sheridan to play because the team was tired and they had a couple of injuries, Phillips did say the games will be made up.

BIG HORN TRAIL RUN - The Big Horn Mountain Wild and Scenic trail run finished up Saturday and the overall 100 mile winner was Andrew Miller from Corvallis, Oregon with a time of 18 hours 29 minutes and 37.2 seconds.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will play at Thorne-Rider stadium tomorrow night, the Troops have had eight games rained out at home so far and the home fans will finally get a chance to see them play.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets swept Cody in a double header yesterday against Cody winning 19-8 and 7-1.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Troopers wrap up Trooper camp today, the games with Wheatland scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled so the Troops will play their next games at home Tuesday against Casper.

As Trooper camp got rolling yesterday we talked with Head coach Ben Phillips and he says Trooper camp is fun for the campers and it's also good for the troopers to interact with the young players.

SRD summer softball underway / Jets blast Lovell / Troopers host Trooper camp and play at home Saturday

SRD - Adult summer softball leagues through the Sheridan Recreation District are underway for the new season and just about two weeks into the new season Program Coordinator Robbie Spencer says they are off to a good start.

Spencer is leaving Sheridan this week to take on a Rec District Director's job in Tennessee.

Spencer says he's proud of the way he leaves the softball program which has seen tremendous growth over the last three years.

Locker room / Training Facilty Construction underway at Sheridan high school / Rockies fall at Houston / Jets at Lovell today / Trooper baseball camp opens tomorrow

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL - The new locker room and sports training facility construction is well underway at Sheridan high school, AD Don Julian says full completion is set for the fall of 2016.

Part of the fund raising for this project is the selling of new locker sponsorships in the new locker rooms and Julian says they are inching closer to the goal of 250.

Bronc Football fires up OTA's / Troopers home Saturday / Rockies at Houston this afternoon

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team completed their first summer camp in Chadron, Nebraska and Head coach Don Julian says it was a very good week for the 2015 Broncs.

And now we are fully into the off season and Julian says it's just a short eight weeks until the fall football camp opens for the 2015 season.

The Broncs open the season in week one on the road at Laramie, this coming year the Broncs will have five home dates and four road dates during the regular season.

Montana sweeps all-star hoops / The North dominates in the Wyoming Shrine Bowl / Rockies win at Florida and open a series in Houston tonight

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series concluded in Billings Saturday with both Montana teams winning a sweep of this years games.

In the girls series this year Montana was able to break open two close games at halftime and pull away in the 4th quarter. That was all star Head coach Frank McCarthy.

Next week starting Monday McCarthy and his Sheridan college Lady Generals will be holding their annual youth girls basketball camp, the camp is open to k-12 grades.
