WYOMING COWGIRLS - The Wyoming Cowgirls are 6-2 in league play and the cowgirls are off until Saturday night when they host Boise state.

We heard from Cowgirls Kayla Woodward and Fallon Lewis Monday and we finish that up today.We found out yesterday Woodward was named the Mountain West conference player of the week after the Cowgirls pick up wins at New Mexico and at home against Colorado state.

The Cowgirls had a pretty good season the ended last spring at the MWC tournament but most of the roster is back this year and Woodward says that extra year has helped put them in the hunt for making a post season tournament this spring

And Woodward says the extra year has made her a more confident player this season.

The Cowgirls are off until Saturday and have several tough games coming up they are 6-2 in league play at 17-4 overall and Woodward says the short break this week is just what the players needed.

Fallon Lewis has been a spark plug off the bench for the Cowgirls and it's a role that she has embraced.

WYOMING COWBOYS - The Wyoming Cowboys will play a non-conference game tomorrow night at Cal-state Bakersfield you can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame is at 7:30 with the tip at 8:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams the 2nd round of conference play this week. The Lady Broncs will play at Laramie and Cheyenne South while the Broncs host Laramie and South.

We will have the Bronc's on live Friday night at 7:30 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio and Saturday at 1:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

TR / BH BASKETBALL - The Tongue River and big horn will begin weekend action playing conference games in Dayton at Tongue River high school Friday night. Varsity games will be at 4:30 and 6:00.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals are off until Saturday when they host games with Central Wyoming games will be at 3:00 and 5:00.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers host a conference dual with Gillette Thursday night at 7:00 and end the regular season Saturday hosting a dual with Cheyenne central at 2:00.

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams are off this week and qualifiers will travel to the Simplot games next week in Pocatello, Idaho.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will open their conference meet Friday in Casper at Kelly Walsh high school.
