Cowgirls Drop MWC Opener at SDSU / Broncos Close out the Season Sunday vs KC / Bronc Hoops Looking Ahead to 2018

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will resume the season next Thursday at a tournament in Cheyenne.

The Broncs are 4-2 overall both losses were by three points against Evanston and Billings Senior.

After they closed out 2017 with a win over Casper Natrona we talked with Head coach Jeff Martini he likes how the Broncs are coming together and they needed the holiday break to get ready for the grind in January and February.

And he says top to bottom 4-A boys basketball will be very tough when league play opens.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams will open 2018 hosting the 2-A North / South tournament it's three days starting next Thursday.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both have tune up games before they start league play the Lady Generals host Dawson county Montana next week on Thursday, the Generals will play an all-star team next Friday both teams then open league play January 10th at home against Central Wyoming.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys opened MWC play with a win over San Diego state they are off until Wednesday when they go out on the road to play at Nevada.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls opened MWC play with a 68-62 loss at San Diego Thursday night state they are 7-5 overall and play their next game at home next Wednesday against Nevada.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will open the new year at the "Shane Shatto" invitational tournament in Douglas next Friday.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers open the new year at home hosting meets next week on Friday and Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan high school indoor track season opens next week on with the first day of practice, the first competition is set for January 13th.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos close out the season Sunday at home against Kansas City. The final Bronco broadcast will start Sunday at 12:05 with kick off at 2:25 on KWYO and 106.9 FM.
