Top Cowboys to leave the PRCA?

Professional rodeo’s most prominent cowboys say they are defecting from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to form their own organization, but they are coy about their views on the future of the National Finals Rodeo or any other major rodeo event in Las Vegas.

The biggest names in rodeo led by 11-time world all-around champion Trevor Brazile — the LeBron James of the rodeo world — signed a statement posted on Facebook this week saying it’s time for the sport’s top contestants to be directly involved in the sport’s future.

UW Basketball tonight / Broncs / Lady Broncs on the road Thursday

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will play three games in Riverton starting Thursday with games against Riverton at 5:30 and 7:00 we will have both games live on 14-10 KWYO.

Friday they play Kelly Walsh at 1:30 and 3:00 and Saturday it's Evanston at 3:00 and 4:30.

The Broncs blew Riverton out in their first meeting in December that was in Sheridan now the Broncs play them on their home court, Head coach Gale Smith says the Broncs can't take the Wolverines lightly by looking ahead to their games with KW and Evanston.

Indoor track season opens / local basketball loaded with games / Elks hoop shoot Sunday

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track season is underway the first practice took place yesterday after school, around 80 students are expected to participate as Head coach Art Bauers says indoor track numbers remain strong.

The first meet is scheduled for Gillette next Friday and Bauers says they've got a lot to get done before that first competition.

Annual Sheridan Elks Hoop Shoot takes place Sunday at Sheridan college

The annual Elks Hoop Shoot is this Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Sheridan College Hoffamn Dome at 2PM.

Hoop shoot is for kids 8 - 13, with boys and girls put in the following groups: 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13.

The PE Teachers in all Sheridan County schools and in Buffalo have held shoot-offs to determine school champions.

It is these champions who will be at the Hoop Shoot on Sunday.

The winners of this Hoop Shoot are eligible to compete in the Northwest District Hoop Shoot which will be here in Sheridan on
Jan. 26.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams swept the Casper college T-Birds, the Lady Generals won 71-53 they held a twenty point halftime lead.

They held off a Casper run early in the 2nd half and slowly pulled away for the victory, Head coach Frank McCarthy called it a great way to start off the new year.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams won easily against Malmstrom AFB Thursday night in the Hoffman dome.

The Lady Generals won a big time blow out 113-31 while the Generals won 110-59.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy says it was a good tune up for tomorrow's league game with Casper college.

The Lady Generals host the T-Birds tomorrow and McCarthy says they will face a very good team.

The Elite Prospect Camp is your chance to be seen by the Sheridan college coaching staff and make your way onto the top of our recruiting list.

This camp was created to showcase the Top Recruits from the Class of 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 from across the Midwest.

The camp will be held on Sunday, January 26th on the campus of Sheridan College in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome, the site for all Sheridan Generals home matches.

The camp will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT with a one hour lunch break.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will play games at home today against Malstrom air force base from Montana game times today are at 3:00 and 5:00.

Generals Head coach Steve Smiley says they are using today's games as a tune up for their big home games with Casper college.

The games with Casper college Saturday will be at 3:00 and 5:00 and we will broadcast both games live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
