The Tongue River Eagles were no match for the high powered offense of the Wheatland Bulldogs Friday afternoon in Dayton. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there for the game and has this report.

Wheatland controlled the tempo of the game from the start scoring three touchdowns in the first half to lead 23-0 at the break. Eagles Head Coach John Scott says that they knew that they'd be facing a tough task in trying to slow down the wide open offense of Wheatland.

There was a bright spot for the Eagles, as they did get their first score of the season when Lane Dockery returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.

The final from Dayton was Wheatland 36, Tongue River 6. Things won't get any easier for the Eagles, as they'll take to the road to battle the Glenrock Herders Friday night.
