Broncs v Rock Springs Today at the State Basketball Championships / Cowboys Beat San Jose in the MWC Tournament / Cowgirls Eliminated

SHERIDAN BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs will take a 18-7 record into the state basketball tournament which opens this afternoon in Casper at Kelly Walsh high school their first round opponent will be the Rock Springs tigers tip off is at noon we will have it you live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Broncs played Rock Springs twice during the preseason and won both games the first by eight points which was the first game of the season the other was a one point victory in early January, Head coach Jeff Martini says they will be more prepared to face the Tigers this time around.

And Martini talks about some of the defensive issues the Broncs have had and what they did over the last week to get better.

Offensively the Broncs have been good most of the year and in the last few weeks have been tough to stop.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals open their region nine tournament quarterfinals in Casper this afternoon at 3:00 against Western Nebraska.

The Generals open their quarterfinals with Lamar CC today at 3:00 in La Junta, Colorado.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls lost their semi final game 67-63 against Nevada ending their Mountain West Conference tournament the Cowgirls stand at 21-10 overall and now wait to see if they will received a postseason tournament bid.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Cowboys beat San Jose state 74-61 last night to advance they will play New Mexico in the MWC tournament quarterfinals tonight you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the pregame show will start at 9:30 with the tip off at 10:00.
