Broncs Roll in State Tournament Opener / Generals win will Play in the Region 9 Final Four Tonight / Lady Generals Lose as Their Season Ends

WYOMING STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS - The 3-A / 4-A state basketball tournament got started last night for the Sheridan Broncs and they cruised into the semi finals with a dominating performance beating Evanston 67-42.

The Broncs led 21-8 after the first quarter and had the lead to 30 in the 4th Tristan Bower led with 16 points, Sam Lecholat had 15, Parker Christensen had 14 and Gus Wright chipped in with 11.

The Broncs will take on Campbell county in the semi finals tonight they beat Green River the game tonight is scheduled to tip off at 9:00 we wil have it live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The other semi finals has Cheyenne East taking on Casper Kelly Walsh.

On the girls side of the bracket the semi finals are set with Thunder Basin taking on Star Valley and Campbell county playing Cheyenne East.

In the 3-A bracket the both Buffalo teams advanced to the semi finals the girls beat Mountain View 51-42 and will play Dougals in the semi finals the Buffalo boys beat Pinedale 64-51 and will play Powell in the semi finals.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals season came to an end with a 95-43 loss against Western Nebraska in the region nine quarter finals they end their seasson with a 19-13 record.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Generals beat Northeastern Colorado 74-72 and will play in the semi finals tonight the region nine tournament at the Hoffman dome theyl play North Platte Nebraska at 7:00.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls lost at New Mexico 57-50 last night and will have the third seed in next week's Mountain West Conference tournament. The Cowgirls play Monday night against the winner of the Utah state / Colorado state game that will be played Sunday.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Cowboys close out the regular season at home tomorrow hosting New Mexico. The game will tip at 4:00 live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Mountain West Conference tournament will be played in Las Vegas next week the women start Sunday with play in games the men start Wednesday.
