Broncs / Lady Broncs sweep road games at Gillette / Rams / Eagles split / Bronc Wrestlers 4th at the "Ron Thon" invite / Bronc Swimmers sweep three duals

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept games from Gillette Friday night in the Razor City.

The Lady Broncs battled the Camels into overtime and came out on top 64-62, Robbi Ryan led the Lady Broncs with 29 points, Head coach Jessica Pickett.

The Lady Broncs were very tired late in the game as Gillette just kept sending players at them but Pickett says the players dug down deep and got it done.

They are 15-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play with round two of conference play beginning this weekend at home with Cheyenne East and Central.

The Broncs haven't had much luck over the years playing in Gillette but Friday night they fought to the final seconds and made the plays late that got them the 74-68 victory, Head coach Gale Smith.

The Broncs are 10-5 overall and tied with Laramie on top of the league standings at 4-1 and will get ready to host East and Central.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams basketball teams split with Tongue River and Wright on the weekend.

The Rams beat TR Friday and beat Wright Saturday the Lady Rams lost two tight games losing against TR 39-37 Friday and in overtime at Wright Saturday.

The Eagles dropped both of their games losing against Moorcroft Saturday, the Lady Eagles got past Big Horn Friday and blew out Moorcroft Saturday.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 4th at the annual "Ron Thon" invitational in Riverton, they had three individual champions Hayden Hastings, Kerry Powers and Tory Music.

The Broncs close out their regular season at home Thursday night with a dual against Gillette, varsity matches will start at 7:00.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers hosted duals with Worland, Riverton and Cody and won all three to close out their regular season at home.

HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey team went to Gillette over the weekend an won both winning 6-1 and 7-0. the Hawks close out their regular season next weekend on the 21st and 22nd against Douglas.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball teams played the Air Force Academy Saturday the Cowboy lost 73-50 at the Academy while the Cowgirls blew out the Falcons 74-51.

Both teams play SDSU Wednesday the Cowgirls play at home at 7:00 live on 87.7 FM the Pokes play at the Aztecs at 9:00 on KWYO.
