Broncs / Lady Broncs drop finale's at Energy Classic / Bronc wrestlers host the Border war duals Saturday / Pokes / Cowgirls fall in MWC openers

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will closed out play yesterday at the Energy classic in Gillette.

The Lady Broncs went 1-2 they lost 59-50 to Alta high school from Sandy, Utah the Broncs were 0-3 at the classic after dropping a 69-64 overtime decision to South high school from Eugene, Oregon.

Next week the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play three games in Cheyenne at a tournament at East high school. the tournament opens Thursday with games against Natrona county, Friday they play Green River and Saturday Rock Springs all six games will be broadcast live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers are back in action Saturday hosting the Border war duals. We don't get much of a chance to see the Broncs in dual action and Head coach Tyson Shatto says these matches really go along way into team building.

Matches get underway at 10:00 Saturday morning, they will have three mats running, two in the big gym and one in the small gym.

BH / TR HOOPS - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams will host the Winter classic tournament next week Thursday through Saturday.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will compete in Gillette next weekend.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals are hosting one day youth basketball camps this weekend. The camp for boys K-8th grade will be Saturday and the girls K-8th camp will be Sunday.

The boys camp will run from 9:00 to noon and the girls from 11-2:00 they will take walk up registration a half hour before each camp begins.

Both teams open the new year with conference games a week from today at home against Gillette.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls opened Mountain West conference play last night and dropped games against San Diego state the Pokes lost 67-55 they play at Nevada Saturday that game tips at 4:00 live on KWYO.

The Cowgirls lost at home 84-77 they host Nevada Saturday the game tips at 2:00 live on 87.7 FM.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos close out the regular season at home Sunday against San Diego kickoff is at 2:25 live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.
