Broncs / Generals Advance in Post Season Basketball / Wyoming Knocked out of the MWC Tournament

STATE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Broncs advanced to the 4-A semi finals at the state basketball tournament in Casper with a 73-64 win over Rocks Springs.

The Broncs led wire to wire they had a 32-16 lead at halftime before holding off the Tigers down the stretch.

Tristan Bower led the scoring with 20 but it was the monster play of Parker Christensen that put the Broncs in the semi finals, Christensen had 15 points and 19 rebounds Blayne Baker hit for 12 and had 7 boards.

The Broncs will play Casper Kelly Walsh in the semi finals tonight the Trojans upset number one seed Cheyenne East, the game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

In the other boys games Campbell county beat Natrona county 64-62 and Evanston got by Cheyenne Central 64-55. The Camels and Red Devils play the other semi final following the Bronc / KW match up.

The girls semi finals is all teams from the 4-A East it will be Thunder Basin high school taking on Cheyenne East and Campbell county against Cheyenne Central.

The Buffalo Bison made it to the 3-A semi finals with a 59-42 win over Lander they play Riverton in the semi's tonight the other 3-A boys semi has Cody taking on Rawlins.

The Buffalo girls made the semi finals as well beating Lyman 58-53 they play Star Valley today the other 3-A girls semi final has Powell taking on top seed Douglas.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams split Thursday the Lady Generals season came to an end with an 80-66 loss to Western Nebraska in their region nine quarter final game in Casper.

The Generals beat Lamar CC from Colorado in their quarter final game 90-73 they play Western Nebraska tonight in the semi finals.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys took on New Mexico in the Mountain West tournament quarter finals in Las Vegas last night the Lobos eliminated the Cowboys 85-75.
