Bronc Track Team Looks to Contend for a State Title / Rockies win Late in Boston / Troopers Hope for Dry Weekend Weather

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan Bronc track team is poised to make another run at the 4-A state title last spring they won the east regional and finished as the runner up in the state championships, last Saturday they won their second straight regional title and will contend again for the state championship, the Lady Broncs had a strong season a year ago finishing 3rd at the state meet and are looking for another top three finish this week.

Head coach Taylor Kelting says the Broncs have been a great roll all season after winning the state indoor meet.

And what is it going to take for the Broncs to break through and win the state championship this week.

Events get underway tomorrow for the all class state championships at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says hosting the super regional last week was a big undertaking for the high school but he said volunteers and school officials came together to put on a great event.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers stand at 4-4 on the season they are scheduled for a doubleheader at the Billings Halos Saturday and back home for two Sunday with the Billings Royals weather permitting.
