Broncs / Rams Win Regional Track Titles / Troops Split Doubleheader / Rockies Take Down the Padres

TRACK AND FIELD - Sheridan high school hosted the east 4-A and 1-A / 2-A combined regional meet team and individual results can be seen below on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com.

For the second straight spring the Sheridan Broncs took the regional title and Head coach Taylor Kelting was named the conference coach of the year, the Big Horn Rams also took the 2-A regional title.

The All-class state track and field championships are set to begin Thursday in Casper.

SOCCER - Both the Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer seasons ended at their regional tournament in Laramie last week, the all class state soccer tournament opens Thursday in Jackson.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played their home opener Sunday against the Laurel Dodgers and gained a split with their record remaining at .500.

The Troopers beat the Dodgers 6-5 in the first game and dropped the second game 6-5 as they now stand at 4-4 on the season.

They hit the ball well in their home opener Head coach Ben Phillips says it was also nice to have good weather for the doubleheader.

Jacob Boint was on point most of the way as the Troops built up a solid lead in the victory.

This week they play two at the Billings Halos Saturday and back home for two Sunday with the Billings Royals.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat San Diego in the series finale Sunday Jack Corrigan has the game wrap up.
