Bronc Golfer Kirkham Wins Opening Tournament / Preseason Practice Begins for Swimming, Cross Country and Volleyball / Rockies Swept in Miami

GOLF / TENNIS - The high school golf and tennis season got underway last week the Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers played in Powell.

The Broncs finished 2nd behind Casper Kelly Walsh in the individual standings the Broncs Kirby Coe-Kirkahm was the medalist with a 135 total winning by a whopping 14 shots. Kirkham was the only Bronc or Lady Bronc player to finish in the top ten. This week they play Thursday and Friday in Riverton.

The Bronc and Lady Broncs tennis teams opened their season getting a good tune up for the regular season at a jamboree in Casper.

They open the regular season this week hosting matches with Natrona county and Jackson Wednesday afternoon.

SWIMMING / X-COUNTRY / VOLLEYBALL - Lady Bronc swimming, Cross country and Volleyball teams all open practice today the Lady Bronc volleyball teams goes at 8:30 am and 2:00pm, Cross country starts at 6:30 am and the Lady Bronc swimmers will be in the pool at 5:00 pm.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Bronc football team will host the Rock Springs Tigers in the season opener on the 25th kickoff will be at 7:00 pm.

Head coach Don Julian talks about the next two weeks before the opener.

Opening day is September 1st for Big Horn and Tongue River they both open at home the Rams host Rocky Mountain the Eagles host Wright.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open the season at Iowa September 2nd the pokes then play their home opener in week two with Gardner-Webb and the big home date with Oregon September 16th.

BRONCOS FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play their next exhibition game at home Saturday night against San Francisco.

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District has a fun event for kids that will take place today and tomorrow they are holding an Olympic sports camp, Program Coordinator Colton Thompson says it will be a great couple days of activities for kids.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were swept in Miami Jack Corrigan has Sunday's wrap up You can hear tonight's game on Sports Talk 87.7 FM.
