Bronc Soccer at Home Tonight v Cheyenne South / Outdoor Track and Field Begins / Rockies MLB Opener at D-Backs Thursday

SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams open conference play tonight the Broncs are at home they play Cheyenne south the JV's go at 4:00 the varsity game starts at 6:00 tomorrow they take on Laramie the JV's at 10:00 am and the varsity at noon.

Lady Broncs Head coach Kevin Riser talks about seeing this team come together over the next couple of weeks starting this evening in Cheyenne.

SRD Getting Ready to Change Seasons / Broncs Soccer Home Friday / Track Season Opens Tomorrow

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District board held it's monthly meeting yesterday most of the discussion was centered on the change of season as we transition form indoor to outdoor sports.

Youth Webb Wright baseball registration and sign ups for a spring youth running club get started Monday and plans including getting Kendrick pool ready for summer were also part of the discussion.

Baseball sign ups open Monday Seth Ulvestad is the srd youth sports coordinator.

Micheal McGuire steps down as Lady Rams hoop coach

Big Horn basketball coach Micheal McGuire has resigned that position Tuesday night. During his tenure with the Lady Rams they won the 2-A state title in 2016.

McGuire is also the Football coach at Big Horn and will remain in that capacity for the coming season.

Clearmont Student-athlete Selected as Section 8 Recipient of NFHS National High School Spirit of Sport Award

Clayton Auzqui, a student-athlete at Clearmont (Wyoming) Arvada-Clearmont High School, has been selected as the 2018 Section 7 recipient of the “National High School Spirit of Sport Award” by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).

The National High School Spirit of Sport Award was created by the NFHS to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the spirit of sport that represent the core mission of education-based athletics.

Cloud Peak Volleyball

3 teams compete at the Colorado Crossroads Volleyball Tournament in Denver.

The Crossroads is Colorado's largest sporting event each year, and is a USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Qualifier.

Our Cloud Peak 13s team competed in the 3-day event March 10-12. There were almost 800 teams from all over the country competing over the weekend in the convention center that holds 100 volleyball courts.

Track and Field Season Opens Saturday / Bronc Soccer Plays Home Opener Friday Night / Kendrick Golf Course Opens Next Saturday

TRACK AND FIELD - The high school track season starts this week the Broncs and Lady Broncs will compete at an invitational in Cody Saturday.

Sheridan high school Head track coach Taylor Kelting says it was nice to have last week off for spring break as it fit perfect into their schedule and now they are ready to get the season started in Cody this week.

Over 100 students are out for track this spring and Kelting says it is great to see this much participation.

Former Generals Player Competing in the NCAA Tournament / Robbi Ryan - ASU Eliminated From the NCAA Tourney

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - Former Sheridan college Generals basketball player PJ Savoy currently plays for Florida state, Sunday Savoy hit the basket that completed the Seminoles comeback over number one seed Xavier in the second round of the NCAA basketball tournament.

Generals Head coach Matt Hammer says it's been fun these last two seasons watching Savoy compete on the national stage.

Cowgirls Knocked out of the WNIT / Bronc / Lady Bronc Soccer Opens / Track and Field Opens This Weekend

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball season came to an end Sunday with a second round loss in the "WNIT" against UC-Davis the final was 74-64 the Cowgirls finish off a great season with a record of 22-11.

SPRING SPORTS TRACK / SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams had a pretty good opening weekend at the Casper jamboree.

The Lady Broncs tied 1-all with Natrona county then dropped a 3-1 decision against Kelly Walsh and ended the event with a scoreless tie with Evanston.
