Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Casper Kelly Walsh 30-3 to get their record to 3-2 overall, they built up a 30-0 lead Kelly's points came on a last second field goal.

Broncs Head coach Jeff Mowry says they had to settle for three early field goals from Toby Jacobs then got a late first half touchdown and it was nice to get points early.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Wyoming state tennis championships started Thursday in Gillette after day one the Lady Broncs sit in 11th place and the Broncs are 8th overall the tournament concludes with the finals tomorrow.

X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams had a great meet in Casper yesterday the Broncs were first the Lady Broncs 2nd.

In the individual top ten standings for the Lady Broncs Katie Turpin was 3rd, Kate Moran was 8th and Sarah Gonda was 10th.

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams compete in the state championships starting today in Gillette.

X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams get back into action today at a big invitational in Casper.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers host a pre-invitational meet tomorrow night and the full Sheridan invitational will take place Saturday.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team is on the road this week for matches in Cheyenne at East and Central high schools.

This is the Generals only home rodeo of the year and is free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Sheridan College AgriPark.

Perfs will take place Friday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. with a short go on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. Slack will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. Cowboy Church will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday prior to slack in the grand stands.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play at Casper Kelly Walsh Friday game time has been moved to kickoff at 6:00. We will have it live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM starting with the First Federal pregame show at 5:30.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles host Pine Bluffs Friday night we will have it live for you on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM that game will kickoff at 6:00 in Dayton Ron Richter will have the play by play.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host a big game with Upton / Sundance Friday night that game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:00.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs dropped their home game to Thunder Basin 23-13 and now stand at 2-2 overall Head coach Jeff Mowry says even though it was a ten point loss the Broncs were much better than the previous week.

Friday night the Broncs will look to end a two game losing streak at Casper Kelly Walsh.
