Football Officials Needed / Fall Sports Season is Underway / Rox Beat the Bucs

FALL SPORTS - The high school fall sports is underway with 4-A football, tennis and golf all starting practice yesterday, 1-A through 3-A football starts Monday along with cross country, volleyball and girls swimming and diving.

The season begins with 4-A football on the 24th and that same weekend the rest of the sports will start their seasons as well.

The annual Sheridan high school booster club BBQ and fall athletic parent / coaches meetings will take place August 20th.

The Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball team and both SC soccer teams started the preseason Monday.

HIGH SCHOOL FALL SPORTS - The Sheridan Bronc football team will hosted their player / parent meeting yesterday and today they start at "two a day" practices they open the regular season on the 24th at Rock Springs.

Also starting today the Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams start work outs and the Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will meet this afternoon at 3:00 at Kendrick golf course.

The Big Horn and Tongue River football teams open practice a week from today they open the regular season August 31st.

Rockies Lose Another Walk off / 2018 Fall Sports Season Officially Starts Monday morning

FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS - The Sheridan Bronc football team will host their player / parent meeting Sunday evening at 4:00 in the high school cafeteria.

Monday morning they start at practice, they open the season at Rock Springs August 24th.

The Big Horn and Tongue River football teams open practice on the 13th they open play August 31st the Rams host Thermopolis and the Eagles open at Moorcroft.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team starts their senior leadership camp today the annual Bronc player / parent meeting will take place Sunday evening at 4:00 in the high school cafeteria Head coach Jeff Mowry says the seniors run that meeting which sets the stage for the start of two a days Monday morning.

Rockies win at St. Louis / Bronc Football Mtn. Camp Starts Thursday / Fall Sports Season Opens Monday

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers and their families will put a cap on their season Thursday evening with a get together at Thorne-Rider stadium.

Troopers Knocked out of the State Tournament / Bronc Football set to Launch 2018 Season Monday / Rockies fall in 10 at St.Louis

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers state Double "AA" American Legion baseball tournament ended yesterday in Cheyenne with a 7-5 loss to Evanston the Troopers end the 2018 season with a record of 21-43 overall.

Other games Monday Jackson eliminated Rock Springs and the winners bracket games went to Gillette and Post 6 from Cheyenne.

Today's match ups have Evanston facing Laramie and Jackson going up against Casper in elimination games the unbeaten semi final has Gillette taking on Post 6.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers opened up the state Double "AA" American Legion baseball tournament yesterday day in Cheyenne and dropped the opener 13-3 against Casper they will play Evanston in an elimination game today.

Other games Sunday had Gillette beating Evanston 3-0, Laramie whipped Jackson 18-3 and Post 6 from Cheyenne shut out Rock Springs 14-0.

JETS BASEBALL - The state "B" American Legion tournament wrapped up Sunday at Thorne-Rider stadium Gillette took the title with a 9-0 shut out win over Evanston.

Jets Play an Elimination Game Today / Troopers Open AA State Baseball Sunday / Rox v A's Tonight

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets dropped their winner's bracket game last night in a 5-4 loss to Evanston they will play an elimination game today at 11 am against Gillette, the other elimination game has Cody playing Douglas at 1:30 the two winners then meet at 4:00 for another elimination game.

Riverton and Laramie were both knocked out of the tournament yesterday.

The unbeaten semi final game has Evanston playing Rock Springs at 6:30.
