Sheridan Bronc Garrett Coon awarded the Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year

The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Coon as Wyoming’s best high school football player. Now, he’s a finalist for the prestigious Gatorade National Football Player of the Year award to be announced later in December.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks are on the road this weekend for games in Helena, Montana today we hear from the President of the Hawks club Dr. Brent Milner he says their group had a vision of what Junior hockey might be like in Sheridan and the response from the public has been outstanding.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The 2019 Sheridan Bronc football team put a cap on their championship season with their postseason football banquet at Sheridan high school.

Head coach Jeff Mowry says its a night to celebrate the senior class and for them to pass the torch to the juniors that will take the program forward in 2020.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks go back out on the road this weekend for games in Helena, Montana.

The Hawks are 18-5-1 overall and Head coach Andy Scheib says the players have been in a good groove to start the season and the team has the attention of the rest of the teams in the division.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals play at Western Nebraska tonight and play at home this weekend against Dawson and Miles City Friday and Saturday.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept all four games in the 45th annual Sheridan Lions club tournament at the Hoffman dome over the weekend.

The Lady Generals beat Rocky Mountain college 92-58 and beat Northwest college 66-64 they have won 5 of their last 6 games and stand at 6-4 overall.

The Generals beat two all-star teams 107-84 and 93-90 to run their winning steak to six straight and they are 9-3 overall.

Both teams play at Western Nebraska tomorrow and play at home this weekend against Dawson and Miles City Friday and Saturday.

LIONS CLUB HOOP TOURNAMENT - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals will host the 45th annual Sheridan Lions club tournament today and tomorrow at the Hoffman dome.

Game times are 2:00, 4:00,6:00 and 8:00 today and tomorrow they go at noon, 2:00. 4:00 and 6:00. the Generals and Lady Generals will play the late games both days.

The Lady Generals are 4-4 overall and Head coach Ryan Davis says his young squad is learning under fire.
