Bison Boys Win Two This Weekend To Open Season

The Buffalo boys' soccer team openined their 2012 season by winning both of their games this weekend, 1-0 over Gillette and 4-2 in overtime against natrona.
Friday the boys hosted Gillette.
Collin Rodriguez assisted Wyatt Witty who scored the games only goal for Buffalo's 1-0 win. Buffalo had 7 shots on goal to Gillette's 2.
Saturday the game times were changed for both the boys' and girls' games, with the girls varsity game played at 10am, boys JV at noon and boys' varsity at 2pm.
Buffalo's boys varsity went to overtime before finally beating Natrona 4-2.
Buffalo scored first in the 12th minute when Mitchell Wilcox took a pass from Wyatt Witty and beat Natrona's keeper for a 1-0 lead.
Natrona scored in the 16th minute, followed by Buffalo's Wilcox again in the 29th minute, assisted by Garret Monroe.
Buffalo led 2-1 at the half.
Natrona tied the game in the 75th minute and regulation play ended tied at 2 apiece.
Buffalo scored twice in overtime in the 85th minute when Kalob Rodriguez sent an unassisted shot home and again in the 97th minute when Witty scored on an assist from Garret Monroe for a final score of Buffalo 4, Natrona 2.
The Buffalo girls fell to Gillete 5-0 and Natrona 6-1 this weekend.
Next up for the teams is Powell this Friday and Cody on Saturday.
