BIG HORN RAMS FOOTBALL - Last Friday Sheridan County School District 1 announced the hiring of Micheal McGuire as the next Head football coach at Big Horn high school.

For the last couple of year McGuire has been an assistant on Don Julian's staff at Sheridan high school.

McGuire has Head coaching experience leading the program at Riverside before coming to Sheridan and says he loves coaching and wanted to get back to being a Head coach.

McGuire has some history with Big Horn as an opponent he was with Riverside as the Head coach that beat Big Horn in the 2007 2-A state title game.

And he says the work for getting ready for the 2012 season for the Rams is already underway. He's says Big Horn has a great winning tradition and expects that to continue.

And finally he says he leaves the Bronc program with great memories.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams get back into action today as the coaches split the teams up for meets in Billings and Casper Head coach Art Bauers.

These meets start an important stretch of meets for all the athletes. So far this season Bauers has liked the results achieved by both teams.

SOCCER - The Sheridan soccer teams will be in Gillette for matches Friday at 3:30 and 5:30 and will be their only matches of the week.

Next week the second round of conference play begins with the Broncs in Laramie and Cheyenne and the Lady Broncs at home.

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will open their season this week their first spring tournament will be in Gillette Thursday.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers less than a month away from their 2012 season opener. The Troops open at home Sunday, May 6th against Casper game times will be at 1:00 and 3:00.

We will broadcast game one of the double header live on 14-10 KWYO.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were shut out 7-0 Monday in their home opener against the San Francisco Giants.

Both teams take today off and resume their series at Coors field tomorrow night.
