WYOMING / MONTANA ALL STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series ended Saturday night in Billings with the Wyoming girls winning and the boys team coming up just short in the 4th quarter.

One night after losing in Sheridan 82-64 the Wyoming girls got off to a great start Saturday and pulled away in the 4th quarter beating the Montana all-stars 77-67.

Wyoming's Miss basketball Kyleigh Hiser from Laramie says they were not going to let the game slip away in the second half. And Hiser talks about what made the difference for them

Girls Head coach Frank McCarthy was proud of the girls and how they cam back to win Saturday and break a 10 game losing streak.

In the boys series the Wyoming all-stars lost 80-69 in Sheridan and had a poor night, Saturday Montana led by one going into the 4th quarter but made the plays late and won 74-71 Head coach Steve Smiley says it was a much better effort in Billings.

They have more basketball this week as their youth camp opens at the Hoffman dome today.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 15-3 overall they took two thrillers from Wheatland Sunday. Drew Adriens hit a three run walk off home run in the bottom of the 7th inning to give the Troopers a 7-4 victory in game one.

In game two Wheatland would score 7 runs in the 3rd inning and take an 11-2 lead but the Troops started chipping away at that lead scoring three runs in the 6th and 7th inning to stay in the game and force extra innings.

They loaded the bases in the 9th and scored the game winner to win the second game 15-14.

Head coach Ben Phillips says they players did a good job of hanging in there and picking up the win.

The Troops ended a tough stretch of five games in three days and Phillips says the players deserve a lot of credit for winning a tough game.

The Troopers are off today and get right back on the field tomorrow night with a conference game with Douglas at Thorne-Rider stadium.

2012 SHRINE BOWL - The annual Shrine Bowl football game went to the South team Saturday night in Casper the South took the game 56-33. Sheridan's Jordan Roberts ran for two touchdowns for the north squad.
