SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - The "Chris Ledoux memorial golf tournament gets started today at the Powder Horn it will conclude tomorrow and the annual boot kickoff will start tomorrow afternoon at Sheridan college.

Steer Roping Slack opens at 7:00 Tuesday morning with slack continuing Wednesday morning at 9:00.

WYO Rodeo committee President Zane Garstad says many years ago the WYO under went a transformation with the addition of the Sankey Rodeo Company becoming the rodeo's stock contractor.

There will be slack timed events Tuesday and Wednesday morning admission is free and it's a chance to see dozens of the best ropers in the world compete.

And Garstad went onto say that the Sheridan WYO Rodeo has become a destination event.

The first performances of the 81st WYO rodeo opens next Wednesday at 7:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split a double header with Post #320 from Rapid City last night scores were 9-2 and 12-7 with the Troops winning the opener.

Tonight the Troops continue the home stand with two games with Spearfish the first game will start at 5:30.

The Billings Halos come to town for games tomorrow and Sunday games begin at 2:00 tomorrow and Sunday morning at 11:00.

SHERIDAN COUNTY JUNIOR GOLF - The Sheridan county junior golf series tees it up a couple of weeks the first of three tournaments will open July 18th at the Sheridan country club, they play at the Powder Horn August 1st and Kendrick golf course August 8th.

The Sheridan county junior golf program is open to all boys and girls ages 8-17 players play in their own age groups.

To register for any of these events forms are available at all three Sheridan county courses.

The fee to play is 10 dollars per play and all players must pre-register for each event. the entry deadline for the first event in July 14th.
