4-A State swimming opens today / State Wrestling begins Friday / 2-A East regional hoops start today / Pokes and Cowgirls fall against Fresno state

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers open the Wyoming state wrestling championships tomorrow morning in Casper.

Broncs Head coach Tyson Shatto says Gillette leads a very good field of teams heading into the tournament.

And he says the Camels are a huge favorite to win the team title again and we asked Tyson if any team has chance to knock them off.

If the Broncs want a shot at making a run at Gillette near the top of the team race they need to get off to a fast start tomorrow.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams finish up the regular season tomorrow night at home with Gillette.

Game times are set for 5:30 and 7:00 and we will have both games live on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

Sheridan high school will host the 4-A East regional tournament next week starting Thursday, the Broncs and Lady Broncs have locked up automatic bids for the state tournament so they will not play the first day of the regional tournament.

Broncs Head coach Gale Smith says picking up the number one seed takes some of the pressure off heading into the regional tournament but they want to play well and finish strong tomorrow night.

B H / TR REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams open play at the 2-A East regional today in Big Horn.

The Lady Rams play at 9:00 am against Burns the Lady Eagles will play at noon against Lusk.

In the boys bracket Big Horn plays Burns at 1:30 and TR plays Southeast at 8:30 tonight.

BRONC SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers are at their state championships today prelims begin this afternoon in Gillette, the finals will be held tomorrow.

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams have a meet in Gillette today.

Then it's onto the indoor state championships set for March 6th followed by the start of the spring outdoor season which opens Monday, March 9th.

COWBOY / COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at home against Fresno state Wednesday night 64-59, the Cowgirls got beat at Fresno 67-50 ending their four game winning streak.

Saturday they play games against UNLV and we will broadcast both games live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Cowgirls lead off and play the Rebels at home that broadcast will start at 1:30, the Cowboys play at UNLV that broadcast will start at 5:30.
