SC Hoops Teams Sweep CWC / Cowboys Lose at New Mexico / Cowgirls Beat the Lobos / Bronc Wrestlers Dual at Colstrip

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers compete in Colstrip, Montana this evening then to Miles City for the Cowboy invitational tournament which gets underway tomorrow.

The team is coming off a solid finish at last week's Douglas tournament and Head coach Tyson Shatto says his young Broncs are starting to show signs of how good they can be.

BRONC SWIMMING - The Broncs hit the road Friday and Saturday to Laramie and Cheyenne Head coach Brent Moore says they had a good break and they had good performances over the weekend at the Sheridan invitational.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams open conference play tomorrow night at home against Central Wyoming game times are at 5:30 and 7:30.

The Generals are 14-1 and ranked 17th in the national NJCAA top 25 poll Head coach Matt Hammer says the players set a good foundation in the first half of the season.

Now league play begins and the intensity of the season ramps up even more.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams combined to go 5-1 at a tournament in Cheyenne the Broncs swept all three the Lady Broncs lost the opener then won two straight.

The Lady Broncs dropped a game to Kelly Walsh Thursday then came from behind and beat Green River Friday and capped off the weekend with an amazing comeback and a 61-55 win over Rock Springs.

Head coach Larry Ligocki said the two victories were big for the Lady Broncs.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams the opening games in a tournament in Cheyenne Thursday.

The Lady Broncs and Casper Kelly Walsh were tied at 27 at halftime, Kelly took a seven point lead into the 4th quarter and went on to beat the Lady Broncs 59-47.

Riley Raffferty led the Lady Broncs with 11 points, Emily Kilpatrick had 10.

The Lady Broncs fall to 1-6 on the season.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at Nevada Wednesday night 92-85 they will play at home Saturday against Boise state you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the broadcast begins at 5:30.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls beat Nevada 66-60 last night to even up their conference record at 1-1 the Cowgirls go back out on the road Saturday to Boise state.
